Meizu and Canonical a rumored release of Ubuntu Touch Smartphone

It has been rumored that Meizu could launch an Ubuntu powered Meizu MX3 at CES, although this hasn’t happened yet, leaks here in China suggest it still could happen!

Further leaked photos about the collaboration with Canonical Meizu to fabricate first Ubuntu Touch Smartphone. This time showing the Meizu MX3 running Ubuntu and clearly identified with labels stating the phone is ‘Ubuntu Certifiied’Last December, Canonical CEO, Mark Shuttleworth, told CNET that high-end Ubuntu smartphones made by an "unnamed maker" will appear this year. More specifically, the source says that Weibo Li Nan, VP of Meizu, that the coming months we will see Ubuntu Touch Phone from the company.

From Phonearena: "Back in December, the Chinese maker was alleged to appear at this year's CES, and it's actually there."
