Review of Nexus News: Galaxy Nexus Primed 2 Release, Dates Rumored, S Tests ... - Wireless and Mobile News

So far, Americans haven't gotten the taste of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich while the rest of the world can buy the Samsung Galaxy Nexus we are still waiting to savor the new flavor of Android which should be coming soon.  Let's review all the news around Android 4.0 in the Samsung Galaxy which is being tested, documented, videoed, updated, filed and reviewed.

First off, it's good to know that Google employees are testing Android 4.0 on the Samsung Nexus S that hopefully will clear up any glitches before it is delivered to the public.
The Samsung Galaxy Nexus (Verizon version) can be seen without a SIM card connected to the Verizon network in the Samsung Experience store in New York City.   It's hard to test network speeds but Android 4.0.1 was working fine.  The Engadget team couldn't put in SIM because the alarm rang when he tried to open the back cover.

Some world GSM Samsung Galaxy Nexus owners have gotten an update to fix a "volume"  audio glitch.   The update ITL41F hasn't  made its way to all owners, yet.
A video on YouTube showed Samsung Galaxy Nexus tested to be a speedy 8-10Mbps downloading  and up to 2Mbps uploading, indoors with only two bars showing (video appears below).

Samsung Galaxy Nexus documents were filed with the FCC showing GSM 850/1900 and WCDMA II/IV bands, which means it will not support AT&T's 4G LTE network.
Unable to wait anymore, reviewers are testing the International GSM version of the Galaxy  Nexus.  It has a great 4.65" touchscreen and is not bigger than other phones because the lower part of the screen is used for the navigation button.  The Nexus is very fast, but reviewers can't tell if it is due to the operating system or dual-core processor.  There is no microSD card slot and Face unlock is faced with problems.

Google released the Galaxy Nexus factory image which will restore the Samsung Galaxy Nexus to it original software which is important to those who "mess" with the software installed on the smartphone.  The Verizon version of the software is not available, yet.

A leaked screenshot showed the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus with Android 4.1 suggesting that Verizon will release the Nexus with the latest version of Android 4.1 Ice Cream Sandwich.
The rumored release dates for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus are December 8, December 9 or ?
