iPad 2 Rival Alert : Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Down To £359 - ITProPortal

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, probably the toughest rival to the iPad 2 yet, has seen its price fallen to £359.10 both at Currys and Amazon (The promotion at Currys ends on the 31st of December).
The tablet, which was released at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February 2011, features an eye-catching 10.1-inch touchscreen display with a 1280x800 pixels resolution, an Nvidia Tegra 2 chipset clocked at 1GHz (and no Exynos 4210 chipset as expected), 1GB RAM, a two megapixel front facing camera and a three megapixel rear one, Wi-Fi, 16GB onboard storage, a 7000mAh battery, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Android 3.1 Honeycomb with Samsung TouchWiz user interface.
The tablet weighs only 565g and is a mere 8.6mm thick, making it one of the thinnest tablet on the market yet.

Both the black and the white versions of the tablet are available for this price. Note that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 comes with a proprietary connector, no USB power charging and there's no microSD card slot.
